Well actually, I really missed dA :U
Last thing I posted was a journal entry saying I probably won't post anymore, but just lurk dA. Well, that proved to be pretty hard! :c
I was thinking why it felt harder to find more artists and have convos lately, and the thought finally struck me that it's probably because I hadn't logged in and talked to anyone here in a while. Deviantart is still the #1 place to fraternize, talk to and find new artists, I believe. There's Artstation, Behance, et al but they don't have that general friendly vibe that I hankered for. You can find people on Tumblr and IG but it's a little harder to check out their art among their other non-art posts and it'

What helps me do more dynamic poses is to do small, quick sketches using references, then blow those sketches up to a larger size and refine them. That way they don't take as long to do and you won't get too frustrated working through the kinks.
